How long have you been designing web sites?
Since 2002. I received my Web Design Certifiation from Howard University in Washington, DC.
Do I have to sign a contract?
We do require that you sign a contract. The contract is simple, it will state that you want us to build a web site for you. If will also list what is to be included with your site. We realize that contracts are scary for most of us, but this way we both are sure that we get what we want from the design of your site. Both jomarby web design and the client will be bound by the contract once it is signed. Before signing the contract, we will discuss the entire contract with you to make sure you understand what you are signing. The contract will be sent to you by U.S. postal mail.
Why should I hire a professional to design my Web site?
Think of it this way. When you're looking for new car stereo, you most likely start by searching the Internet. You find a few stores in your area and call them to ask about brands, models and pricing. Once you have decided which stores offer what you're looking for, you drive over for a look around.
What happens when you pull into the parking lot of a store that looks run down? One that has obvious signs of neglect? One that looks as though the owner should have it condemned? If you're like most people... you keep on driving!
Why? Are you afraid to leave your car with that stereo shop for fear it will get stolen? Do you think the store might not be honest? You don't know these people, but from the image they portray... you are suspicious and skeptical.
The same thing applies to your web design. When visitors come to your website, they are either rolling their eyes or smiling.
In many cases, your website IS your business. It is the image you present to the Internet world. We also know that there is a lot going on behind the scenes that contributes to your site functioning properly. A professionally designed website will give your business the foundation it needs to succeed by using the latest technologies and design applications, by being search engine compatible and by displaying correctly in a variety of browsers. When you hire jomarby web design, you get the skills, knowledge and expertise that only comes from years of hands-on experience.

Does my business need a website?
Ask yourself, "Does my business need 24-hour exposure 7 days a week, 365 days a year?" The answer is obvious. What other medium allows you to expose all the benefits of your business to your target market at their convenience and provide a source of direct correspondence from them to you? The benefits of a website are innumerable.
What can a website do for me?
The answer to this question is neither short nor easy. With a little research and thought you can find hundreds of reasons, but there are a few general statements that may help you realize your needs. First a website can reach millions of people that might not otherwise be available. Second, customers can view products, services, or whatever you want to share from the comfort of their own home. No matter what type of business you are in, there are ways to grow and make money on the web for you.
What is a domain name and why do I need one?
Every website must have a domain name. A domain name is your website's unique address on the Internet.
As an example, the domain name for jomarby web desugn is http://www.jomarby.com. The most common domain names will end in .com, .net, or .org, but there are many more to choose from. .
What is hosting and why do I need it?
Your website needs a home on the Internet - a place for your domain name, web page files and graphics to reside. You buy or rent web space through a hosting company. We provide reliable affordable hosting for businesses and offer pricing with your web proposal.
Hosting fees vary greatly depending on your needs. Your hosting package will need special features if you plan to have a storefront on your website, if you will be connected to a database, or if you have special programming requirements.
How many pages do I need?
This all depends on how much content you have. Every business website should have an 'About Us' page (or something similarly titled) to tell your visitors about your business. After that, it depends on what type of business you have. A good rule of thumb is to not overwhelm your audience with too much information on each page. Disperse the information and break it up into digestable pages and paragraphs. Long pages of text tend to overwhelm the reader. Break content up to truly get your audience's attention.
I don't think a website will do anything for me, am I right?
No, many people overlook the various products, services, or business processes they can include on a website. Any communication or interactions that happen within your business can be made easier and more effecient by the web. Your business will save money and time while appealing to a much greater audience, the world.
How much will it cost?
Unlike other web design companies who hide their pricing, create arbitrary quotes based on how much they would like to make, or charge monthly fees for life; we are honest and upfront about our pricing structure. Nothing you don't want or need is forced upon you. You will have a clear understanding of the cost before the project begins and no surprises when you receive the final invoice.
Please see our Web Design Packages for details.
What is your payment policy?
We receive 50% of your estimated total as a deposit prior to beginning work. The final payment is due immediately upon completion of the project or sooner if web project is delayed by client.
We accept PayPal payments. Your project will begin once your we have received a signed contract and down payment. If deposits are paid by personal checks project will not begin until check has cleared your bank.
How long will it take?
If you have the copy (text) for your website written before the design process begins, it generally takes 3 - 6 weeks from start to finish. Copy should be in electronic format, preferably MS Word format. Not having your copy completed before the design process can significantly delay the production of your site.
Why does it matter how it looks as long as it works?
When you recieve a visitor to your site, they will instantly percieve the quality of your services or products. The first impression a customer or potential customer gets depends on the appearance of your website. A visitor will be interested and explore your site if it is appealing and easy to navigate. You are marketing yourself and your business to the world over the Internet and it is important to show your best.
What kind of guarantee do you offer?
We completely guarantee our design work. We provide an initial concept based on the creative brief we put together prior to designing. We then offer an entire round of revisions at no additional charge. In many cases revisions aren't even needed, but when they are necessary - we take your entire "laundry list" and tweak until the design is just right. We also allow another final revision cycle of the website once all content has been inserted, to make sure your site is ready before launch.
Once the concept is finalized, your site is uploaded to your hosting service.
Will I get to talk directly with my designer on the phone?
Yes! Our process includes the opportunity to consult and speak to your designer at the start of your project. He/she will review your questionnaire and discuss with you common objectives of the project. Further communication will be available at all times via telephone or email.
I am out of state! Can you still design a website for me?
Yes. While it's always nice to work with a web design company you can meet face to face, it is not required. Many of our clients are nationwide and we communicate with them easily via phone, email, and messaging (from project start to finish). Even most of our local clients choose the information highway after our initial meet.
Can you provide us some reference of your works?
YES! In the meantime, visit out Testimonies page to see What People Are Saying About "jomarby web design"
